Basketball Backstop Maintenance and Inspection Checklist

  • Inspect motore drive unit
  • Adjust limits as necessary
  • Inspect complete cable system
  • Inspect, lubricate, and tighten all moving joints
  • Inspect all bolts and tighten as necessary
  • Inspect all main support tubular steel
  • Inspect and tighten U clamps, C clamps, and joist hangers
  • Check and adjust all deployment for proper movement
  • Instepct switches for proper function (includes AC/DC voltage)
  • Adjust all cables. Any cable replacement will be charged at $1.00 per foot of cable used.
  • Inspect and lubricate all pulleys and replace stand off pulleys where needed
  • Provide school with written certification that the backstop passed inspection
  • Supervise the inspection with a factory trained basketball backstop installer
